Even though the building and overgrown weeds are less than inviting, it is not a driveby, although we probably would never have stopped if it weren't for a recommendation from a seasonal local. Don't let exterior appearance fool you. Hand cut fries, wings, homemade pies and soups galore! Lots of bottled beers, including regional craft beers. Suggested to us by a local family we were staying with, this place is a nice one for a casual laid back dinner after the hustle-bustle of Lake Placid. They used to have a giant shamrock on the building, but it appears to have fallen off.We were a little nervous at first - since a lot of the food on the menu is fried food - which is not what we were after - but once you get there, you realize that the REAL food is on the specials board - and it's excellent home cooked food.As for the ambiance - well - don't expect much.
