There's an intimacy between King and his documentary participants that's distinct as well. The community had it's rough days but overall it great and a caring neighborhood. Why are they so fucked up?

The first half of the film takes us through the course of an ordinary day, beginning in the morning wake-up routine, through mid-afternoon free time, dinner, evening activities and finally putting the children to bed. these kids feel so deeply in a way i cannot even fathom. I found the film to be exploitive, I found the staff almost cultist in following the program philospohy, and most importantly, I felt that the children were provoked, and actually acted out almost as if it were an expectaion, and to meet their needfor attention.
It's a quiet neighborhood and I feel very safe living here.
