Labyrinth's $178 tasting menu may seem steep considering the petite portions but with 16 courses, you do fill up nicely at the end of the meal. Perhaps a change in leadership is important. The restaurant tries hard to add twists to flavors familiar to Singaporeans and visitors to Singapore but it tries way too hard and even claims that ingredients used are sourced from Singapore. Herbal black pepper broth is added to the silver perch, which is served along with black garlic as well. Lots of negative energy emitted. This one Michelin star restaurant was wonderful. The ambience, service and food were devine. Labyrinth 8 Raffles Avenue #02-23 Esplanade Mall Singapore 039802. Restaurant Labyrinth has successfully took interpretation of Singaporean cuisine to the next level. Worthy of its Michelin star and the experience was incredible. It is located on level 2 of Esplanade mall.

At Labyrinth, I myself place a huge emphasis on the importance of service as much as the food and I am saddened to hear of your feedback of our service standards and we will definitely look to improve it to make it warmer and more engaging.To address your point made on the produce, I myself source the produce personally and approximately 90% of the produce is indeed sourced painstakingly from Singapore; with regards to your point made that the chicken used is a French breed grown locally, it is not French but Free Range (perhaps my staff made a mistake or did not enunciate the word clearly). The blue pea flower petals and hibiscus leaves garnishes are also to me, an apt closure to the meal to depict Singapore as a garden city.

The Braised Baby Abalone is slow-cooked with fresh and dried oysters, served with homemade oyster sauce and delicately rested on the thin layer of fatt choy tart.

His demeanor is worse than the most stuck-up waiters in the most haughty of French restaurants in Paris.I first visited Labyrinth some time back, when it first opened but the restaurant has changed, maybe because the first time I was there i ordered a bottle of champagne and this time we only had water? One of the steward in black jacket with foreign accent speaks really sarcastically whenever he serve our table, Nil eye contact from him whenever we say thanks and sigh as he say “you’re welcome” as if we are a burden(needless to say, his head is always facing somewhere else but our direction as he speaks) in a very negative body language.

It made my first date in Singapore is very impressive!

The toast here is solid good, with a nice crispy texture and is sourced from Sin Hon Loong, an old school bakery in Whampoa. Great food, great location and above all exceptional service.

)Our lunch experience was spoilt by the service or lack thereof: staff attitude was cold, impersonal and robotic. The restaurant location in a shopping mall was very strange ( done for cost reasons ), but the owner advised us that they would be relating to an appropriate setting during 2020, and the aircon was a tad cold for my wife.

Along with a wide mix of greens from Edible Garden’s herbs, the other surprise here is the cempedak sorbet within. The crab meat is fresh and proud to learn that these are live wild caught flower crabs from Ah Hua Kelong. If such a level of service and arrogance among the staff continues, this will be one of the factors of the restaurant's downfall.

The food is quite good but as compared to other fine dining such as Xi-Yan we prefer the latter--more refined in terms of taste and presentation.
